RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which adults are initiated into the Catholic Church.

Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist are the three Sacraments of Initiation.  Those who are requesting all three Sacraments are called Catechumens.  Those who are baptised in other religions are called Candidates and come into full communion with the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.  This Ceremony takes place during the Easter Vigil Mass.

Enquiries for the RCIA program begin midyear and instructions for all begin in August. For more information about RCIA, download the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults information leaflet.
