Sacramental Programme at Terrigal

This year we saw 90 beautiful young parishioners making their First Holy Communion. What an extra joy when one of our young mothers made her First Holy Communion with her son.

The Sacraments in the Broken Bay Diocese after Baptism are, Confirmation, (from the age of 7), usually the children are in Year 2 followed by Reconciliation (Confession) and then First Eucharist (Holy Communion) in year 3.

Our Parish Retreat 2011

This year we saw 23 men and woman enjoying a weekend at St Joseph’s Convent Spirituality Centre for our Annual Parish Retreat from the 5th to the 7th August.

Our Retreat Leader was a vibrant young priest, Fr Damian Mosakowski a Paulian Father from the Shrine at Penrose Park, Berrima.

Confronting and Inspirational… Eucharistic Miracles presentation

With well over 70 people, it was a great turn-out for the Knights of St Michael gathering on the 30th August in the Church Hall at Our Lady Star of the Sea Terrigal.

The group welcomed many guests including the Young Adults group from OLSOS who all came along to see Ron Tesoriero in his talk about the Eucharistic Miracles in the world today.

Saint Michael Prayer Group of Terrigal (The Knights of St Michael)

Our first meeting was on the 14th April this year. We have a membership of fifty with a core group of around twenty five coming to the monthly meeting. We meet on the last Tuesday of the month beginning with Mass at 6pm. We also have adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and we recite the prayers to St Michael and the chaplet of the Archangels.

Planning a Funeral

We are often asked in the Parish about funeral arranging and what happens.

The general answer to this is: If you have a very ill family member please make sure you have Father anoint them, please do not leave this to the last moment.
